Whoa--those are awesome! Nice header, too.
How does it feel to be the engine driving such creativity, Jeffrey?

Whoa--those are awesome! Nice header, too. How does it feel to be the engine driving such creativity, Jeffrey? Like I just mentioned at G+, this is exactly what I had hoped for -- that folks could find some inspiration from the skeletal framework of setting presented, and then fill in the blanks as they see fit. This is a nice example of "making it your own."

Whoa--those are awesome! Nice header, too. Thanks. I wanted something that wouldn't violate Jeff T.'s IP, yet would still reflect it's source of inspiration. To Ghul: How can one not get inspired? You've put a lot of hooks in AS&SH. I've often found myself presenting adventures of the increasingly world-saving sort - which is what my players usually go for. I miss the "adventure for adventure's sake" type of games. Not that one couldn't do a big EPIC SHOWDOWN type of game with AS&SH, but in actuality it wouldn't be advisable in Hyperborea - it would be very dark, messy, with lots of underborea & outerworldy critters ready to dine upon the scraps left over. Hyperborea has a lot of dark corners to explore. Even in its history. One of the first things I found myself considering was what time period to present Hyperborea in? Then I realized there's ample places for isolated spots to be "frozen in time" for the players to run across. And I love the homage to Gygax's Greyhawk in the timeline, i.e. year 576. And the Green Plague taking place (almost) chronologically at the same time as the Rain of Colorless Fire, etc. I'm already aligning the calendars of both worlds for travellers interested in such things. Although time may pass differently in Hyperborea and other realms: 1 year passes on their homeworld for every month in Hyperborea? And Hyperborea may have a lasting effect upon those who slip into its clutches. Upon returning (if possible) to their own world, they may discover they may age at the opposite rate: 1 year for every month at home. It may even give them a reason to have to travel back. Forgive me, I digress. It's time for me to get back to that lovely map of Hyperborea...

Me too! I've longed to see a Megadungeon made from Mount Voormithadreth since the first time I read CAS's "The Seven Geases". Super exicited to see what you put together.

It's been the inspiration for my very own mega-dungeon ever since Castle Zagyg was cancelled by Gygax Games. From the get-go, I've had a strong (and unique, I think!) idea on how Mt. Vhuurmithadon would be constructed as a mega-dungeon, but I'm not ready to show my hand yet. Besides, I want to push forward with a handful of smaller projects first, to best support the HYPRBOREA setting. Notwithstanding, it will be interesting to see what Geffyl comes up with, as I'm sure he's a fan of the same literary inspirations (namely CAS!).

Yes please do publish some more adventures specifically for ASSH. Even if I don't use them as written, I will buy them and ruthless ransack them for ideas. ;D
