This is awesome, and the author's insights into gaming with kids are particualrly useful. Having them journal or draw while the game is going on is brilliant. I couldn't agree more with letting the kids tell you what they want to be; this has worked very well with my own 8 year-old. Be prepared to have a skeleton and a ninja in every group... Also, it never would've occurred to me, but having everyone start with nothing is also brilliant. The kids are going to tell you exactly how they each want to play by what kind of gear (or spells, or whatever) they want, and what they do to get it. Lastly, it deserves credit as the only RPG to date (that I know of, anyhow) that uses the Fibonacci sequence to determine the XP necessary to advance a level...

Skeletons and ninja in every group! Sounds like a lot of fun.
Fibonacci sequences, as easy as 1, 1, 2, 3 ...
