How about a thread in links for resources of places to purchase various old school materials TSR or otherwise?
A separate thread for web sites related to other old school stuff?
I'm thinking that for example, RPGnow is a good source of a bunch of PDFs (sadly not the OD&D boxed set). Arduin Grimoire is available. And then of course there's the various modern old school projects such as OSRIC.

A great idea. I just re-named this thread and we can do this right here!
By the way, an EXALT for the suggestion.

Do I have it right that The Arduin Grimoire is available in pdf at RPGnow? I didn't know it was ever released in a pdf. Is it just the first book or several of them?

Big news just spotted by Daniel Proctor (Goblinoid Games): the OCE version of the OD&D rules is now available for purchase on pdf at RPGNow: enworld.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=22428Considering how long we OD&D fans have had to advise people curious about the One True Game to either drop $50+ on ebay or seek out bootlegs, being able to point to a legit source is a huge bonus. Thanks to WotC for (finally!) making this available

Though the price isn't always right, I have to recommend Noble Knight Games. Aaron's rating system is EXCELLENT, his speed of delivery is second to none, and customer service is top notch. I've ordered from him at least a dozen times and have been extremely satisfied.

I've had good luck finding things at my local Half Price Books. The gaming section has quite a turnover among the old-school stuff (while the 3.0/3.5 stuff just sits there...)
Last night I found both Top Secret and the introductory module from the TS boxed set for 1.98 each. I've been eyeing that in my FLGS at $10, so I'm glad I waited.

I've heard about HalfPrice books, but have never seen one. Is it a regular chain bookstore?

Here in Portland Oregon, Powells Books (Portland, Beaverton) and Ancient Wonders (Tualatin) both have a good stock of used gaming books. Bridgetown Hobbies and Games has a consignment section that has a decent amount of stuff also. Frank

I've heard about HalfPrice books, but have never seen one. Is it a regular chain bookstore? It's a chain of used books stores. They have a website; you can check there to see if there's one near you. I know they have stores here in Minnesota and also in Texas, but I haven't checked any other states. I'm particularly fortunate in that my local one is close enough that I can pop over on my lunch hour and see if anything new is in.

There are 3 HalfBrice Books stores in Indianapolis (where my sister lived for several years) and I used to love going to them -- I don't recall buying much/any rpg stuff there but I bought tons of other books. Even after my sister left Indy my mom and I still drove up there (about a 3 hour drive each way from Evansville, where we lived) a couple time mostly just to go to this store.
Sadly, there are no locations in Southern California, and traveling up to the Bay Area or to Phoenix just to go to a used bookstore ain't gonna happen...
