Round 7
Rod Quarry rolls 4, 1 and hits with only 1 barrel, 18 zombies left.
The Deep One and Lance have 1 barrel loaded each: 7!, 5... Lance destroys 1 zombie, and the Deep One's masterful shot kills 2 with 1 bullet! 15 zombies remain...

15... Riiiiiight... Heard that one two zombie waves ago! ;D The Deep One Minion begins reloading his Howdah pistol while the Fine Brown Cannibals lick their lips, wondering if they can make some kind of stew with zombie bones as the prepare for another round of action.

Actually the zombies trigger deep superstition within the brown men. While the cannibals normally relish human flesh, the moment it Turns Undead (in a bad way, not the clerical sense of the phrase), it becomes repugnant and taboo. The squad holds the line nervously, hoping that the zombies with their filthy claws and snapping teeth cannot get inside the reach of their pikes.

Anything else? Shall I assume default actions and keep things moving?

Default actions for Apothecaria and crew will be fine.

Sorry, I imagine must be a little boring for Apothecaria as a non-fighter-type. If anyone gets bit though, it will be her time to shine!

Apothecaria's crew rolls 5, 2. This is good for 5 zombie kills and 10 remain.
[When she reaches 2nd level and the fighting capability of Veteran (1 man+1) she will have more tactical/mechanical options.]
The Fine Brown Cannibals roll 24 dice:
6 + 1 + 3 + 6 + 1 + 6 + 2 + 1 + 5 + 1 + 3 + 3 + 2 + 6 + 1 + 2 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 6 + 3 + 1 + 5 + 2
They hit exactly 10 times, destroying the remaining 10 zombies! [again? wow!!!]
Fated's troops reload their 2nd barrel and will be fully loaded on round 8.
The heart of the zombie swarm is upon you!!! Protect the camp! 13dd= 74 walkers emerge from the fog at 6" and swooping down from above L'juy the Giant Zombie Botfly! [thanks to Caleb Jensen's Witches of N'Kai for the random spawn name generator.]
[red]Happy Halloween, Chainmail Carcosa![/red]

Apothecaria calls out a suggestion for the fusiliers to direct their fire against the zombie bot-fly, while ordering her troops to continue to direct fire against the ground troops.

Oh, boy...
The Deep One Minion croaks loudly at the sight of so many undead... He will direct his Howdah pistol at the zombie botfly (knew those things would come back to get us...).
The Fine Brown Canibals will fearfully stand their ground...

Fated's gunners shoot at the fly. As soon as they unload, they drop guns and grab pikes.

Round 8
[I'll resolve some of these missile attacks first]
Apothecaria takes charge of the situation and starts barking strategic military commands. She and her own troops unleash 2 volleys of slingstones against the approaching 74 walkers, rolling 1, 5. That's good for 5 kills and now there are "only" 69 zombies.
Meanwhile the Deep One turns his sights on L'juy the giant zombie botfly but realizes he fired his 1 loaded barrel back on Round 7 and now his gun is empty! (oh no!!! is he going to spend the round reloading, or join the melee?)
Fated's Gunners however are fully loaded. The 3 orange men (trained under Gunnery's command) are crack shots and let the undead insect have it with both barrels: 5 + 1 + 1 + 6 + 1 + 4. Three bullets hit for a combined 3d12= 23 damage!
L'juy the 6HD/21hp giant zombie botfly bursts open showering the party with what appear to be [red]gummi worms[/red]. Will any of you eat the Carcosan Halloween swamp zombie pinata candy?
The remaining pistoliers prepare to fire on the approaching 69 zombies, hoping to bring down as many as possible before they close to melee range... [to be continued]

Fated's men hurriedly kick away the zummi worms as they grab their pikes and set for the charge.

Will any of you eat the Carcosan Halloween swamp zombie pinata candy? Not even THIS fish is going to partake of the zombie worms... The Deep One Minion utters a guttural curse as his Howdah clicks onto a spent cartridge. He takes his last opportunity (I think) to reload a round.

The 5 ulfire men hoist their pikes with a cry of "We give our lives for the One who is Fated to Die!" and receive the advancing walkers. (They each roll an extra die as a sort of set-vs-charge bonus for the length of their pikes, and hit on 4+.)
5 + 2 + 3 + 5 + 5 + 2 + 4 + 6 + 1 + 5
Nice rolling! They bring down 6 walkers and 63 remain.
Buck Quarry takes a few pokes of his own (1, 1) but this is his first time using a pike and his attempts are clumsy.
Now the Fine Brown Cannibals:
6 + 4 + 5 + 4 + 4 + 1 + 3 + 3 + 6 + 5 + 3 + 1 + 4 + 3 + 6 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 6 + 4 + 4 + 2 + 3 + 1
They impale 12 walkers and the count is down to 51!
Who's next??

Buck Quarry takes a few pokes of his own (1, 1) but this is his first time using a pike and his attempts are clumsy. Buck Quarry having rolled "snake eyes" is first to suffer the zombies' wrath. 1dd= 7 of them break through the gap in the pike formation and swarm all over him with their filthy claws and teeth! As light foot vs. armored foot they only roll 1 die per 3 men (round fraction down): 5, 2. Buck is unharmed but screams and drops his pike so he can paw at his undead assailants. How do his brothers react? [it is still Round 8, we aren't even close to done with the round yet.]

ehiker's man Lance Quarry grabs a pike and attacks the ghouls who threaten his brother: 3, 3. He misses badly (but not badly enough to expose himself to counter-attack like his brother's critical failure).

Apothecaria's troops will maintain missile fire for as long as possible without injuring their new-found allies. When that becomes impossible, they will attack as a unit using spears.

Rod Quarry also grabs a pike and leaps to help his brothers.
The Bone-Troopers unload the one barrel they have each reloaded (last round) upon the latest massive wave, then prepare for melee combat.

Rod rolls 3, 3 and misses!
Now the 8 Bone Troopers open fire with 1 barrel each: 2 + 4 + 5 + 4 + 4 + 5 + 3 + 2. All of them hit destroying 8 zombies, dropping the total to 43.
7 zombies have already attacked Buck, so the remaining 36 attack now. For this round, they will only be able to attack the formation of pikesmen. If they are able to kill/incapacitate any of the pikemen, then on the next round they will break through and it will be a free-for-all!
The pikesmen are Armored Foot so the zombies roll 1 die per 3 men and need target 6 to hit. That's 12 dice total:
1 + 6 + 3 + 6 + 6 + 1 + 1 + 5 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 6
That's 5 hits! The pike formation consists of 8 cannibals, 5 ulfire men, and 3 quarry brothers. Rolling d16 to determine the targets of the 5 attacks: 8 + 12 + 6 + 3 + 13.
Brown man 3 is dragged down by a trio of walkers, takes 7hp, and is unconscious at 0hp! Brown man 6 is clawed for 3hp dropping him to 2hp. Brown man 8 suffers 6hp dropping him to 7hp. Ulfire man 4 is nicked for 1hp for a total of 8hp. Ulfire man 5 takes 5 damage and has 5hp.
With Buck Quarry and 1 of the cannibals overrun, the pike formation breaks and zombies are everywhere! Next round will be a free-for all!

The Bone-Troopers attack with gusto, except Dream Stalker and Serpent's Scion who, being only lightly armoured, fall back and reload.

The Deep one minion goes after the zombies on the brown Canibals who went down. He'll fire his Howdah only if safe; otherwise, he will use his new pike hand. Yar!
The Fine Brown Canibals try to maintain the formation.

Round 9 The [red]gummi worms[/red] begin to squirm, and your skin burns where they touch! But there's no time to worry about that right now, for painful death-by-zombie awaits if you hold back! Dream Stalker and Serpent's Scion reload while everyone else attacks with pike/spear vs. the remaining 43 zombies: 7 fine brown cannibal pike: 1 + 2 + 5 + 3 + 6 + 5 + 4 + 5 + 3 + 3 + 1 + 6 + 5 + 4 + 4 + 2 + 4 + 5 + 3 + 5 + 1 = 12 kills Deep One pike hand: 6 + 5 = 2 kills 5 ulfire pike: 2 + 4 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 6 + 1 + 6 + 2 + 2 = 3 kills 3 orange spear: 5 + 2 + 2 = 1 kill DM + BB glaive: 5 + 2 = 1 kill 4 bone pike: 6 + 4 + 6 + 4 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 4 = 8 kills (a perfect round... go Team Minion!) Apothecaria's 6 spear: 5 + 4 + 1 + 3 + 5 + 4 = 4 kills 2 quarry bro's: 3 + 4 + 6 + 1 = 2 kills 33 zombies are destroyed in the melee leaving only 10 to retaliate! (Randomly determine target...) They are as furious as an emotionless automaton can be at the damage wrought by the bone-pikemen (Minion's troops) and concentrate their attack. They get 1 die/3 men vs. armored and roll 3 dice, target 6: 4 + 6 + 4 They hit bone man 3 (5hp) for 12 damage killing ( ) him! At the end of the round a mere 10 walking dead remain and victory appears imminent for the party. Please devise a creative and spectacular way to finish off the last few zombies... and don't forget about the [red]gummi worms[/red]---what's up with that?!?

The Bone-Troopers and Quarries continue attacking or reloading as in the previous round.
Do we have a fire nearby? I know we have plenty of digging tools, we should shovel the gummi worms into the fire after the zombies are taken care of.

It is reasonable that the night watchmen would have a fire going on this cool, foggy April night. I'll allow it.

Sgt. Caninibal shouts, "Avenge our dead, for they are wasted meat!" and then he leads the Fine Brown Cannibals to slaughter the remaining zombies.
