My copy of the Greyhawk supplement has the following corrections/additions listed on page 68, which I though were intriguing:
Dwarves: All dwarves add +1 to hit probabilities, and subtract - 1 from chances to be hit, when fighting the "Giant Class". Elves: All elves add +1 to their hit probabilities when using sword or bow. Hobbits: All hobbits add +3 to hit probabilities when using the sling.
Has anyone ever used these rules? Do they ever show up, elsewhere?

Do they ever show up, elsewhere? They are in the AD&D Player's Handbook.

They are in the AD&D Player's Handbook. Do they crop up elsewhere in OD&D resources? I've never noticed them before. Wondering whether folks tend to use these rules or not...

Yes, these adjustments (or at least the inspiration for same) also appear in Chainmail. That being said, OD&D didn't spend a lot of time repeating itself and sometimes one has to really dig for rules. For example, the "setting spears versus attackers" or the "strikes versus unarmored head" rulings.

Of course I use them.

Do they ever show up, elsewhere? They are in the AD&D Player's Handbook. Quick correction: the halfling sling bonus isn't in the PHB; it only appears in the MM (and the +3 applies to short bows too).

Quite correct, Grodog. Thanks for the reminder.
