I think Ghul talked about a character sheet resized to fit letter-sized paper was in the works at some point. Any word on that?
I'm wondering if I missed an update somewhere and, if not, when we could see that character sheet online?

I'm wondering if I missed an update somewhere and, if not, when we could see that character sheet online? I think the amount of information on the sheet would have to be reduced to fit on a letter-sized sheet of paper. The current sheet is somewhat hard to read even with my glasses (ok I am old). I would like to see the amount of info whittled down to very basics as the form is moved to letter size. I was also curious if all the games have been mailed and Jeff had taken a breather?

Hello fellows, No letter sized sheet, yet, but it is on the agenda. I need to get the last 10 Kickstarter packages mailed, and then I'll have a bit more free time. I do have comp copies of the game to mail, and also I will be startting to mail out general sales copies from orders placed the last two months. I also will be heading into prep mode for conventions, as I have two weekend conventions in a row this November. So I'm busy, busy, busy! Cheers, Jeff T.

Do you have a favored software package to create the CS in or does that matter? Do you have specs you would want included?

I did the first one in word, but that is a pain in the but. Sure you can save it to PDF when all is said and done, but formatting in word can be troublesome. I might do the letter sized one with Indesign.
I don't want to reduce the amount of info, but for letter sized there would be some rearranging so that it fits on three pages, the third page being just for spell tracking. I have a strong idea of how I want it to look, but I need to work through some of the more pressing concerns, first.
The character sheet, Colin's name generator, and also some documents that show examples of play -- these are all things I want to get to ASAP.

Plus, Jeff has two other AS&SH-related documents I created to put up for folks as well: one for drunken debauchery in the S&S vein, the other for randomly determining character eye colour, hair colour, and distinguishing features based on culture.

Yes, and these are both a lot of fun, too. Nice options to utilize, and they will also be placed on our "resources" page. Colin has been a great contributor -- and out of nowhere he arrived with a wealth of ideas! I'm very fortunate that the AS&SH game has captured his interest. Folks should check out his Radioactive Ape Designs materials.

I just converted the legal-booklet-sheet to letter if you guys are looking for something to print on regular paper. I had to crack the security on the PDF to do it, which is kind of silly for a character sheet, but hey, whatever! So this should hold you guys over until Jeff gets a proper one worked up. That works for me. How is it printing? My printer is running legal-sized stuff at the moment . . .

Excellent. That works for now. What I'll be tweaking is the arrangement of things. My idea is essentially this: If you play a spell caster, you will need two letter-sized sheets (2-sided printing). If you are playing a non-spell caster, I want it all to fit on one sheet. This will require some tinkering.

Aplus, just tried your character sheet and it printed off fine. Like a couple of others here I starting to need larger print in order to see as clearly as I would like. Even with my bifocals. Ghul, I look forward to seeing all the material that will be added to the resources page. I'm getting a lot of interest in AS&SoH. Seems that a S&S game using old style D&D foundations is something a lot of people are interested in.

Even people who wouldn't a priori be interested in a D&D game are interested by the twist and the prospect this is tied to the O/AD&D paradigm makes it interesting even to them.

Absolutely. It's just a character sheet. You have my blessing. In fact, I might just slap it onto the resources page until I get to the adjusted version. Thanks, Ben.

This will require some tinkering. As long as you keep your tinkering private; there are laws against public tinkering, doncha know. Colin
