EPT and more Tekumel at U-Con

Hi all,

I'm sorry I have neglected this forum in advertising the Tekumel Track this year at U-Con.

U-Con is a game convention in southeast Michigan, and for the last 14 years, Tekumel fans have been gathering there. This year the convention is October 26-28 in Ypsilanti.

Victor Raymond is coming and running one of his classic Jakallan Underworld EPT games, using Professor Barker's own map of the Underworld beneath that ancient city. He's also giving a Barker Memorial Presentation and an update from the Tekumel Foundation. Patrick Brady (co-author of T:EPT) is running two games, as is Krista Donelly, a veteran Tekumel GM whose diverse scenarios are well known to readers of the Book of Visitations of Glory.

We need, and have room, for more Tekumel games. GMs can submit an event any time. Pre-registration for players will open very soon, probably in just a day or two.

Shipwrecked!, GM: Patrick Brady, 7 players, 3-B, Friday 8p-12a. This is both a standalone game and a campaign start demo for Tekumel. A mixed group of Tsolyani are thrown together when their ship sinks and they are castaway onto a mysterious shore. Pregen characters provided. $3.00

The Foundation's volunteers have been diligently working on a treasure trove of Tekumel material, and want to share some of their findings with you! Hello all,

Online registration is now open for all events submitted so far for U-Con and will be open until October 12th. After that you register when you get to the Convention, which costs a little more. To find the Tekumel events, just use the "Search Events" link and enter the search term tekumel.

To get a discount on hotel rooms at the convention site, reserve your room by October 10. There is a link on the front page of the convention website that automatically goes to hotel registration and enters the dates and code. If you prefer to call to make your reservation, the convention discount code is UCOUCOA.

If you run a game, any game, but preferably a Tekumel game, your modest registration fee is fully refunded. Please consider coming and running a game. Submit your event by October 5th to be included in the Con Booklet.

The Guest of Honor this year is Jason Caminsky, who is about to publish an rpg based on Mesoamerican culture called "New Fire." His games, seminars, and Aztec inspired art on the con shirt might be of interest to Tekumelani as well.
