X-plorers: Prometheus Rising
HERRIN, ILLINOIS-August 24, 2012 - Brave Halfling Publishing today announced that they have acquired the perpetual rights to publish an X-plorers RPG version of RPG Objects, “Blood & Space: Prometheus Rising” Campaign setting by Charles Rice. In addition, they will be supporting this new line of products with adventure modules, game enhancements and supplements in both print and electronic form.
“This is a big day for Brave Halfling Publishing,” proclaimed John Adams, who owns and operates the company. “One of the main reasons I acquired the X-plorers RPG was so that we could take its simple, compact-but-complete gaming engine and imagine and expand it into different genres and settings. Today, we are seeing the first steps taken in that direction!”
A very broad release date for sometime during the first half of 2013 has been announced and many details concerning the final product are still being worked out. However, John Adams does give one hint: “Since Prometheus Rising introduces many new races, re-writes, classes, ship and ship-to-ship combat, etc. into X-plorers, it seems very likely that we will be grafting the concise X-plorers core rules right into the text of campaign setting itself and thereby eliminate the need to own separate core rule book.”
Prometheus Rising was one of the premier Hard Scifi Space Campaign Settings of the d20 era. Brave Halfling Publishing promises to further develop and convert the setting into an X-plorers campaign sandbox.
The name, "Brave Halfling" reflects the fact we are the little guy in hobby publishing with a big heart and enough courage to take on the challenging projects gamers want, like hand-crafted digest modules and boxed sets made in the United States.
