If you guys see killer material posted on private websites or in threads on places from here to Dragonsfoot to rpg.net to the Forge etc., please don't hesitate to give me a heads up. I can contact authors and see if they're interested in having that stuff put in our magazine.

Hey, this is a very good idea.
There are some articles in Jeff's blog that could be great for the zine. Sort of giving them "immortality status".
What about that Jeff?
Some of phil's musings would also be great. I've read them all, but they would add value to the zine.

If Fight On! wants to use any of my musings, that would be fine with me.

Your "Considering OD&D?" would be great at the very end of an issue.

Do you have anything particular in mind? My plan is to keep creating new stuff for the 'zine, but if you like a particular article or two, I'm game on including them in future issues.

The one about how campaigns were in the past would be great for people not to much into old-school. That one about the "open campaign" and stuff.

As long as it doesn't turn into a bunch of "campaign logs" and stories. I faithfully bought and read Amberzine for the Amber Diceless RPG for years and it was great, but it was thinly disguised fiction and rarely contained actual rules content. I would hate for Fight On! to degenerate into old guys (like me) in rocking chairs remembering that 3rd level paladin back in '78.
If Fight On! does contain old campaign recaps I would be most interested in Greyhawk or Blackmoor rememberances from players who were in those original campaigns.
Now, if the intent is to give more of a "here's how we did it..." type thing, I'm all for that!

Thanks for offers of material, guys. We'll keep looking for good stuff.
Short, cool stories from currently running games are definitely welcome. In terms of older games they should either be couched in general 'how to do it' articles or be of major historical importance. (For example, in issue 2 I want to have a couple articles about how Arneson runs things, both because the issue will be dedicated to him and because his different style is a useful thing for all old schoolers to know about. I plan to contact gsvenson and spinachat to see if they will let us use their articles (svenny's about the first blackmoor game, spinachat about the recent game at DunDraCon) about that.
But the majority of every issue will always be game-relevant material. We want to celebrate what we do, yeah, but the best way is to actually do it!

I don't know anything about OD&D (I'm running AD&D1st Edition) but I would like to contribute art, and possibly maps.

Hi Maw! Good to see you here. Such contributions are totally welcome. More soon...I'll get stuff up about issue 2 features, submission deadlines, etc. next week.

I´m thrilled! Oh, and Cali, I was right: That´s the logical conclusion of tentative thoughts you uttered back then. And I totally agree.
I´m a whippersnapper, but maybe I can contribute in some way.
