After reading these boards for a couple of months now, I think that the community will be benefited in ease of writing, communication and comprehension if we build up consensus to establish some useful acronisms.
Here are my proposals:
TOD&D: True OD&D. This is used to refer to the LBBs only, with no supplements. Apparently the preference in this forum.
GOD&D: True OD&D + Supplement I.
BOD&D: True OD&D + Supplement II.
These two can be combined, for GBOD&D for example.
MOD&D: My OD&D. This means "I took OD&D as a base, and created my own game, that now looks quite different". The amount of house-rules should be considerable. Something comparable to a new supplement.
This opens to combinations like MGOD&D (LBBs + Supp I + house rules) for example.
I think the use of these acronyms will be great for better understandment and OD&D dialogs and discussion.
OD&D would refer to "the whole family" of OD&D based games and RPG philosophy.
Do you think this is useful? Which are your propositions?

Hi Zulgyan,
First off your English is WAAAAAY better than my Spanish, so don't take this as anything other than constructive criticism, but the word you're thinking of is acronym. An anachronsim (which is what I thought your post was about from the title) is something in the wrong time- like the spurs in the movie Gladiator (spurs hadn't been invented yet).
Back to your point, I don't see the need for such acronyms. I would probably not ever use them, but I don't mind if others do so.
Happy gaming!

Thanks for the correction. No offense at all. I learn English (vary valued in South America) while having fun!

One of the first posts ever on these boards was a suggestion by myself to use things like [BTB] for "by the book" and [House] for house rules, and so on. Pretty much no one bothered and it doesn't seem like we've had any real issues so I never pressed the issue. While your idea certainly has merit, it doesn't seem like we use acronyms here.

Well, maybe because in OD&D the difference bewteen BTB and HOUSE is quite difficult to establish! ;D
