I think it was issue #22 that was the merger of The Dragon and Little Wars; you might use that as a marker of when things shifted to AD&D. Badger brought up something interesting that I wanted to pursue, so I thought a thread for it would be nice. I have a copy of Little Wars #4 (for the Naval Rules for Kingmaker) but otherwise know very little about this magazine. I know that it was printed simultaneously with early Dragon, and #4 at least has a similar format to Dragon issues of the time. Doing a little web searching, I haven't even found any real index or list of contents. In particular: 1. What are the contents of Little Wars? 2. Is there anything in these issues that might interest an OD&D player?

I believe I have close to a full run of Little Wars. It's a decidedly historical wargamer magazine, or so I recall. I'd have to go back and look, but I suspect there might have been some Chainmail articles, and maybe some useful historical information, but there was a pretty clear line between LW and TD, until the merger.
