Awrite, this was good fun the last couple of times, so let's give it another try: Post the illustration(s) you're working on for issue 14, that we may all bask in their glory and swap glowing words of admiration and useful advice on improvements - or some such. Here's a pack of pugs, now available in vanilla and three new, exciting* flavours! *I.e. lethal.

Hehee, a friend of mine is the creator of the adventure those beauties are part of and now I can never play it without chuckling like a lunatic Seriously though, cool work bro. I like the Dire one especially, he has a really menacing look.

Nice work on the pugs Jensen. They are hilarious. This one was done for the earlier Darkness Beneath requests.

Very nice "behind the glass" effect! I like it very much. As for myself: Caverns of Slime by kensanata, on Flickr (Strange, inlining the Flickr image no longer works?)

Thanks Alex and sherrypie, I'm glad you like 'em. Nezach, that's a very cool mind flayer. Maybe you should add some shadows on the floor tiles beneath it? Unless it's a ghost illithid, or it's got so much psionic power to spare, it's floating in mid-air to show off - in which case, run away. Alex, have you tried clicking the flickr image to select an image size, and then copying the image location of the picture that turns up? That might work. Possible piccies for random golem / robot tables, roboscorbo with needleladen cannonade and a stony golem with an integrated volcano ( scanner doesn't seem to like me :< ). Edit: fixed the golem to a bit cleaner condition

@ Nezach: Is that mutated plant wielding a hacksaw? Awesome! Oh, and I wanna play the frog guy... sherrypie: Those are fabulous---they remind me of illos in the original Arduin Grimoires...

Hello, everyone. Very cool work so far... Here's a pic pencilled by John Larrey and inked/toned by me for an article on magic wands...

@scadgrad: Nice! Wonderful textures, especially the sky! jasons: Awesome--I love how how the skeleton in the front has a "WTF?" look on his face. Good job mixing the mediums, too. Plenty of people (like me, frex) overdo that...

I love Jensen's work: oozing with personality. Here's a pic from the next chapter of Champions of Zed by the John L/Jason S team (yes it often takes two of us to make one half-way decent artist):

Here's my crystal ball-consulting soothsayer and the skull-and-pentacled ebony staff! I'll probably color these up in Bloatoshoppe tomorrow, for completeness' sake... especially since the crosshatching on the first piece just went way, waaaay overboard.

That wizard and staff, maybe it's the crosshatching but they remind me of some early White Dwarf illustrations, which sort of make me think that the wizard would work fine as illustration for flyer of prog gig.

Why mess with something that's already great? I love cross-hatching! (And don't understand why some people consider it problematic. Is that an art school thing?)

Thanks, guys! ;D I guess I need to learn to communicate better; of course those pieces WILL be used for Fight On! (after all, they're black-and-white and rather appropriate to the whole 'OSR' esthetic). But like my previous illo for FO #13, I'm making it a habit to render color versions as well (coming Real Soon Now™). Melan: Nah, it's not artsy snootiness, just lingering angsty hand-wringing from an old comic 'zine project a while back. The editors in question turned down my cyber-schlocky submission solely because they were afraid the overwrought Crumb-on-meth style hatching wouldn't reproduce. (And needless to say I wept for hours, afterward. Such a wuss...) EDIT: And (finally!) here's Coloured Soothy...

Finally got something more done, in this case a party of PC's taking on some annoying faeries in a twisted forest. As a bonus ( or a by-product) a lil faerie boy:
