Hi folks!
I would be interested in knowing which of the following S&W-based (well, there's an exception) games you have played and what your experiences are: - Backswords & Bucklers - Engines & Empires - Rædwald - Ruins & Ronin - Smith & Wesson
I am really curious how much attention these fascinating games get, especially because I tend to think there is much more talk about them than actual play. Feel free to confute me.

What's Engines & Empires?
And, unless I've missed something (which is certainly possible!), Raedwald isn't S&W-based...
But yeah, good thread!

I think E&E is labyrinth Lord based.
I've kinda had a go at B&B - I mashed it up with flashing blades to run a couple of swashbuckling adventures set in France.
I'll be looking to run it using the rules proper shortly.
If you add "Smith & Wesson" to the list , I'll be running that soon too.

kesher: Engines & Empires is a Labyrinth Lord-based game which labels itself as "gaslight-and-steamworks science fantasy". As for Rædwald, it is, at its core, a house ruled S&W:WB; however, cosmetics and presentation make it hardly noticeable.
simonw: Cool! Could you elaborate this a bit? How did the game feel different to other D&D-based games and/or swashbuckling games?

ynasmidgard, you forgot perhaps one the most significant variants of S&W, Hordes & Things. The most Swords'n'Sorcery example of a game using Swords & Wizardry.
I've read a bit of it but since I never played I cannot share any experiences.
