Jeff, I know your busy getting everything ready for the April release. But I was wondering if, when time permits, we could get a preview of the character sheet?

An unusual question. Is there any provisions in Vol.I for naming conventions of characters? I ask because the whole nature of the setting feels outside the normal pesudo-dark ages/renaissance of most fantasy rpgs.

I ask because the whole nature of the setting feels outside the normal pesudo-dark ages/renaissance of most fantasy rpgs. Nothing explicit. Of course, if you create a Viking, you might select a traditional Old Norse name, and the same might apply to Kelts and other races with "real world" counterparts. But then there are purely fictional races, too, such as Ixians and Hyperboreans. I actually thought about what you mention, but ultimately I decided it might be a little too heavy handed. People like to make up the names of their characters; these might have historical or fictional context, they might use an anagram of their own name, or they might just make something up that sounds cool, interesting, or even just plain silly. Thanks for asking!

I've found the way I like best to suggest names is to use "good" character names in examples of play throughout the rule booklet.

In Vol. VI of AS&SH there are many proper names -- people, places, planets, moons, festivals, and so forth. One might look at these and come up with similar naming conventions. Thanks, busman. --Jeff T.

Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Did I miss it? Am I late? Will it be here any minute? Oh boy, I can hardly wait!

For the latest update, please see our Kickstarter Update page. Things are going well! The first batch trickled out this weekend, but there is more manual printing to resume, followed by another batch to be shipped this week. Also, the PDF download codes should be sent out this week. Thanks for asking! Cheers, Jeff T.
