Hi all, Those of you in the Americas, West Africa, and western Europe may be able to see a full lunar eclipse tonight. The Earth will block direct sunshine onto the moon. However, some light passing the Earth's atmosphere is refracted and will illuminate the Moon. Our atmosphere absorbs much of the blue light, so the moon will appear red while it is within the Earth's shadow. So here is your chance to get an idea of what it's like on Tekumel when the moon Kashi is in the sky. It might be scarlet red, like Kashi, but is perhaps more likely to appear somewhat orange-red, pleasing to Vimuhla and Chiteng, or even a coppery color, which may gratify the Lord of Worms. The eclipse will occur between 10 and 11 p.m. Eastern US time, so very early tomorrow morning in Europe and Africa. See the links below for times elsewhere and more information. Thanks for the heads up!
I've got an open bottle over here if you and yours want to come watch it.

From the look of it, I'd say the rites of Vimuhla and Chiteng are in full swing!
Although my four-year old did say that it was "Red. Like blood..."

So here is your chance to get an idea of what it's like on Tekumel when the moon Kashi is in the sky. Very cool! The different colors of the moons is something I make sure to highlight during night sessions. Sneaking around in moonlight takes on an entirely different shade (literally!) on Tekumel. I have a basic calendar in PDF for the starting year of my campaign here. Has days of the week and moon phases + some basic holiday notes. The start of the rains is based on Mrelu, so is slightly different than the traditional date, can't recall if I made any other changes. May have a more generic version elsewhere.
