Hello all,
Once again we hope to have a track of Tekumel events at U•Con, a weekend game convention at the University of Michigan in November. We've managed to fill the weekend with Tekumel events just about every year for the last 12 (at least!) years, including several EPT game (several run by badger2305!) If you would like to run any kind of Tekumel event (role-playing game, board game, miniatures battle, seminar, etc.) now is the time to register. They have a simple form that you can use over the web to sign up and enter your event, here on the GM's page:
www.ucon-gaming.org/info/gm.php
This year they had to move the date to avoid a football game that was added to the schedule late. The new con date is November 11-13. Because of the rescheduling, space may be a bit more limited this year on Friday and Sunday. Early registration of your event will help ensure that we get the good rooms that we have in the past (we Tekumelani know the importance of social connections and inducements...) Also, as always, gamemasters get their registration fee refunded after they complete their events. When you submit your game, please include a comment for the event coordinator that yours is a Tekumel event (there's a field for comments).
I'll be "coordinating" the Tekumel track again this year. Mostly that means I give the con organizers a suggested schedule for the Tekumel track, and I answer questions, especially yours. I live in Ann Arbor, and can provide information about the convention itself, also travel and lodging suggestions. Also, I'm happy to act as a representative for anyone who can't come, but has a Tekumel project they want to promote. For example, last year we had some demo miniatures from the Tekumel Project, and flyers from the Aethervox Gamers in Minneapolis, keepers of much Tekumel lore.
I hope you will come to U•Con and run a game. We manage to draw a crowd of Tekumel fans every year -- more in one place than maybe anywhere else. It's a lot of fun!
See you in November
