Now that there's been some time to process, I'd be curious to hear what stood out for people.

Lots of good material, and great art.
A couple standouts for me are 'The Bear and The Toad' and also 'Siren Temple'.

I'll second 'The Darkness Beneath' level write up. Very evocative, lots of compelling little details, and a great sandbox if you have players who enjoy mixing it up with factions.
I also liked 'Treasure Types' - a great concept, and I hope Simon submits a companion piece with random tables to fill out the various treasures.

I always want to contribute to these threads but since I do a lot of the editing and layout I feel that I should remain silent...

I am very relieved though that the initial feedback for TDB8 is so positive. (Zak and Gabor have spoken highly of it elsewhere too.) That is I think the longest thing we've ever published...it was pretty scary laying it out and cut-cut-cutting it down to size.
Heron did the majority of the writing and I laid down the general framework, and I think we did well, but huge credit is due to the creative wizardry of David "Sham" Bowman, who designed the level in its main outlines about a year ago. Really glad to have his stuff back in the magazine again and to see people enjoying it so much!

I've only skimmed the whole thing so far, but I do absolutely love Zak S.'s "Where the Action Is". Dead on.

Have to agree with Kesher. Zak is always a good read.
(I haven't finished the whole issue either, though, so something else might crop up...but I doubt it.)

All the Deep Cave stuff was solid for me (and not just because a lot of my art ended up there either ). I also like the Champions of ZED, Pigdivot and, of course, Gabor/Melan's Dusal Dagodili.
