So I have the awesome Tita reproduction of EPT, but it doesn't include the original "Five Empire" maps, and I don't see them offered on the Tita website (just the later edition maps). I've seen the originals in pictures on the web and I know that you can get them in 11x17 format from rpg.now, but are they available elsewhere in a larger format (I swear I've seen them in a much larger fold-out format than 11x17)?
Also, what do the colors on the map represent? I can guess, but is there a legend? (haven't come across them in the book... but I may just be blind...)

On page 41 the book says:
Like I said, I can guess, but is there an "official" key/legend?

Are you sure that the RPGNow ones are only 11" x 17"? AFAIK they are scans of the original EPT maps which were a good size larger than 11" x 17" - As such i think you could get them printed quite big if you can find a printer to do that.
There is a key in the Swords & Glory sourcebook but those maps are different in some regards.
If there was a key in the original EPT, it was probably in some obscure part - I'll try and see if I can find one.

Howard is correct; when I had them scanned, I had them set for 11x17, just to keep the file size down. However, they are in enough detail to allow you to print them on a larger scale, if you had a printer that would allow it.

It should be noted that the Swords and Glory maps extend the "world" eastwards to cover *all* of Salarvya, which is freaking huge when you count out the hexes. (Though, to my mind, largely wilderness except in the immediate area of the cities.)
So maybe you have seen those, which all told are twice the size of the original EPT maps, which were large to begin with?

FYI, Staples (and I presume OfficeDepot and OfficeMax) copy & print centers can print 24 inch wide rolls (so length can be any size). I printed up some lovely (unkeyed) 24" x 36" Darlene Yggsburgh city and area maps from the (legal) PDF there.
