That will be a table chock full of retro gaming. Sadly, the event is now out of my price range, at over $40 for a ONE DAY pass (much more than other large events like comic con). They might as well be charging in real gold pieces, and I prefer that dough going to vendors.

No problem, Lee! For those of you who are going to be there, though, feel free to stop by the booth if you want to pick up some cool new products for older games.

Booth 1541! The year that Ignatius of Loyola became the first Superior-General of the Jesuits, and now the booth that first sold something contributed to by Ignatius Umlaut at GenCon!

I always suspected Fight On! was a Jesuit front...

They might as well be charging in real gold pieces, and I prefer that dough going to vendors. That's my frustration as well, especially since I really go to GenCon just to shop and meet people. Kind of a lot of money to charge just to go into a store! I'll probably visit a local game shoppe during one of the four days and spend my $40 on something I want there!

Their booth was my first stop at the convention today. The setup was really nice. I spent almost all my gaming money on OSR products right off the bat. I got my money's worth, and more in merchandise. Materials by bigger companies/newer games would have easily cost me 3X as much. I now have a veritable mountain of reading/playing material. ;D Way to go OSR!

Materials by bigger companies/newer games would have easily cost me 3X as much. I now have a veritable mountain of reading/playing material. I think the key is that most of us really aren't out to make a buck on gaming, which really cuts down a lot of the overhead. When folks are into that "labor of love" thing, great things happen. I can't make GenCon, but my thoughts are with you guys!

Awsome, BLBlake! Old time games and old time prices. Pick up any FO! stuff? What did you get from other folks? Yes, I bought the Fight On! Compilation +4, and the Roll the Bones book. I already own the PDFs, but the hardcopies look great! The Fight On book is a massive tome. Great job! I also picked up my advance copy of Adventurer, Conqueror, King from Autarch, OSRIC & Monsters of Myth from Black Blade, again nice looking meaty books. I rounded out my purchases with various adventures from Expeditious Retreat Press, and Pacesetter Games. My messenger bag weighed a ton after I finished shopping. I had a great time shopping there, hopefully I'll have a chance to stop back by before the convention is over.

Joe Browning is really carrying the old school banner well at Gen Con! Thank you for supporing Black Blade, Expeditious Retreat Press, Pacesetter Games, and the other OSRG publishers! I went back to the booth today, and spent the rest of my fun money. ;D I picked up more adventure modules, and since it looks so nice I got another copy of OSRIC for my players. John Bingham happened to be at the booth at the time, and signed it for me. Of course that became my copy, and my players will use the unsigned one. I did notice some empty spots on the shelf today where some items sold out. There's a crowd of people around the booth when I walk by, and business looks brisk. It's nice to see the OSR fans out, supporting their favorite old school products. I hope the booth is a big success, and they will be back again next year. Great Job everyone! Brian
