I decided to do something different with wizard's in my game. Originally I was working on modifying the chainmail casting table and as I was working through taht I found spelplay & swordcraft and adapted taht table since my numbers were coming out similar. some may find this useful or completeley worthless but I dthought I'd put it out there in case someone else finds it useful. Cool. I've done something like this in OD&D, but never really thought about it for Dragons at Dawn.
While I prefer the original D@D wizard rules, I would consider using this variant to replace the spell-point system of the elven mage.
