My Blogger account was completely screwed-up. Not only could I not post a comment anywhere, I couldn't even update my own blog! After fiddling with that for several weeks, I finally went with the nuclear option last night and deleted my entire account.
I saved on Word all the information from my blog, and within the next week or two I plan on re-creating my blog.

Blogger has been having some ongoing problems for a month or two. I'm thinking they will have the kinks ironed out of the system soon. I'm glad you've managed to archive your posts, though.

Yeah, me too. All of a sudden I can't post comments to a lot of the blogs I read because it won't log me in to the 'blog or something. Have looked at a couple of the possible causes but haven't tried to fix it yet. not sure I can. Anyway, seems like a weird thing that shouldn't have happened.

I notice this note from May 24, 2011 on blogger: "We're investigating an issue which is preventing login and comment posting for some users, and hope to have it fixed shortly. "Thanks for your patience in the meantime." (link: knownissues.blogspot.com/ ) Alas, I am one of those users who cannot login and comment. This is what is keeping me from re-doing my blog, and it is also keeping me from commenting on the Lamentations of the Flame Princess blog about my forthcoming books. When I tried the nuclear option of completely erasing my blog, I created an entirely new account. This allowed me to login and comment for about 24 hours. Then I was back to not being able to login and comment. My apologies! |
