I'm currently doing a read-through of the Chainmail rules on my blog. I know that there have been a ton of these done before, but I wanted to see what I could make of the rules myself. At the end of the series I'll be looking at how other people have read the rules themselves. The first post of the read-through is here.

One of the hardest parts is coming up in the next post, namely the turn sequence. I still want to know how they managed to get a kitchen sink into a 40 page rulebook.

I really like the non-simultaneous system if only because I dislike written orders. In truth, the whole game is pretty easy to understand. The "problems" start happening when you try to understand the fantasy part and it snowballs out of control with the integration of 0D&D. *grin*
