Labsenpai: cool and stylish work as FO readers have come to expect! I dig the levitating wizard moving his psychic claw into melee range. Kelvin: Your instinct for economy serves your art well. Ant, Marjasal, Kesher: thanks.

Ha! Very good. Your pole won't help you now, Mr Fighting Man!
I love how dark this piece is.

I was working on this one, but it just didn't come together in time so I broke it into two detail pieces (the knight in the foreground, and then the monster/victim in the back). I like the overall idea, and still want to work on it in my spare time, but the knight on the left just wasn't coming together. Attachments:

Perhaps the knight on the left should be in a more dynamic pose, rushing forward into combat? I think it's a really good piece overall, but he does get a bit lost amongst the action.
That's just a suggestion, of course; I don't mean to suggest that you might be "doing it wrong"!

Probably so. I think it lost something somewhere between the initial thumbnails and the actual line work.
The main problem (for me) had more to do with finding the right value and amount of shadowing on that figure, and it ended up getting too messy. Just trying to get back into artwork after a long hiatus (and simultaneously learn digital painting tools), so it was a good learning experience. Luckily, the separate pieces still work on their own.

Yes indeed, they're both strong visuals, so there's a lot to like in there.

Kesher: Your drawings always have personality to spare. Maybe it's the frequently insane expression in the eyes of your characters and creatures: the shocked recognition of Otherness, perhaps. Cool. I also get that otherworldly vibe from your friend's robot. I like this one too. The surface detailing on the robo-chassis made me think of a suit of credit card-mail armor, as one might fashion from the detritus of some post-apocalypse setting. scadgrad: Hello! Cool illustrations on your blog!

Nezach - do you think I should substitute the shaded one for the one you gave me?

I love the bazaar, although I wouldn't have been able to resist filling it with cameo objects, like Thor's hammer, the One Ring, etc. Well done on resisting that urge!
I'm also really fond of those weird, otherworldly hobbits.
The crocodile-man warrior is a wonderful piece, and it looks suitably alien. I would have gone for the far more unimaginative look of some kind of bulky He-Man type man-lizard, but this one has a lot more character.
That robot is brilliant too. It has an element of Sienkiewicz to it.

That is exactly what halflings should look like - shifty, creepy, and prone to jump you from the shadows in chittering gangs.
