Hey, Dan, just re-reading these rules, and man, they're excellent!
Here's a question:
In the section on education, it says that, at DM discretion, players can have 1d6 special skills, and in another place it says those skills are rated from 1-5.
It doesn't explicitly state what number skills start at with a new character--did you (or Dave!) intend them to start at 1?
My inclination would be to let them have three at 1, or one at 2 and one at 1...

The education system is basically like that of Adventures in Fantasy. You can only earn one point at a time, but how many points a character has in a given bit of know how in thier background is entirely a matter of player and Referee discretion. I can easily see someone having 5 bonus points in pottery making, for example, and no particular knowledge of anything else.
