Let me see if I'm getting this straight: When earning experience, when you attain the amount for the new level, you are zeroed out on xp and have to earn the entire amount for the next level, not just adding to xp already earned.
I think I got it, but just wanted to check!

That would be exactly as it reads, so yep. Correct.
I could see someone making a mistake of thinking the listed XP amounts are a running total.
I was thinking at one point of handing out silver for most treasure, which would cut XP down to one tenth, then use the XP amounts as total XP earned (like OD&D). Just a thought.
