Hey, I just wanted to cheer about this issue a bit, so I made a thread for random comments
Now, there's tons of great art in this issue, so I mean no slight, but let me say:
I loved the illustrations by Fat Cotton, they have an awesome Basil Wolverton weirdness vibe that scratches me in all the right places!
I loved all the art, I envy the abilities behind a lot of it.

I always want to participate in these threads but feel I shouldn't be seen as picking favorites. It is a cool issue though and Fat Cotton is a great new addition to the art corps, I agree.
The duck art also puts a big smile on my face in this issue.

Just beginning to read my way through but I wanted to salute Kelvin Green for his magnificent Frazetta-esque duck vs. broos full page illustration. Cheers, Kelvin!

Thanks Jasons! I couldn't come up with any good ideas for anything in the art request thread, but the Frazetta duck just sprang into my mind one day, so I had to get it down on paper. It was a very last minute thing, so I'm pleased you liked it. Credit where it is due, the composition of that piece is all down to Frazetta (see here); there is a credit on the original image, but it's just off the page in the issue, so I wanted to make it clear that the image is not entirely my work. I've said it before, but I think the magazine is looking better and better with each issue. |

I must agree with jasons. The art in this issue is fantastic but Fraz-duck took the cake.
