I know that you don't need the CKG in order to play C&C, but while waiting for my hardback CKG to arrive I decided to buy the PDF version (which is on sale at the moment on RPGNow). It's pretty neat, at least in the first scanning. They expand class-level options up to level 24 (which I'll possibly never need, but who knows), discuss unique monsters, have alternate stat bonus options, expand on the equipment charts, and more. Again, not needed but pretty neat so far. Long live the Crusade!

Does the CKG have the "formula" for how the Troll Lords decided on the required xp for each class to gain a level? I seem to remember that this was a planned part of the book, in order to help referees make new character classes.

I don't remember seeing that, but remember that mine was a hurried skim while at work. I'll try to look again when I get time.

Yep, I've said that this book will most likely be the one that I'll use the least, but it's definitely the one I want to see and read the most. Read the preview book and have read some positive feedback threads/posts and so I'm looking forward to getting mine this coming or next week. Marv, I've noticed so many people that ordered the CKG hardback, have decided to either buy the PDF or the perfect bound - cause they just can't wait to see and read the material!!
