Not a huge fan of C&C, but this bundle caught my eye, so I thought I’d pass it along: www.trolllord.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=134Of course, with their page count they will have to be perfect bound instead of saddle stitched, I assume. Still, this might be a great way to collect reference copies of a game I don’t ever really intend to play.

If I hadn't lost interest in C&C this would have been a cool thing.

I still have interest in C&C. I'm hoping to get matched set hardbacks of the PH, MT, and CKG in "4th Crusade Olive Green" but the digest-sized books could be neat, too.
I just wonder if the font size is also reduced. That would be tough for me because I have a hard time reading tiny font.....

Holy cow! You mean to say that the Castle Keeper's Guide has finally been released?
If this was three years ago, I'd be all over that.

Yes, the pages will be shrunk down, i.e. the layout exactly the same only smaller.
The CKG is supposed to come out in the next few days, I guess.

Of course, for me personally, OSRIC and S&W-WB have sure taken away whatever allure C&C once may have had left.

I'm with you. Between the various incarnations of S&W and my pdf copies of OD&D & Supps I am pretty set.

I fell in love with CnC and then walked away from it, but it will always be on my bookshelf and a fondness for it I just can't shake. I don't get to play as much in it as I would have hoped BUT I don't get to do much playing period...
Looking forward to the CKG, just ordered the digest version will eventually get the hardback just not now.

I still love C&C. Even though I'm currently running AD&D first edition for my, well, AD&D fix, I'd play in or run (on request) a C&C game in a minute. I even have a SIEGE engine core game (Pulp SIEGE) being released by Troll Lord at Gen Con this year (at least, that's the plan).
These digest-sized books look really cool.

I've heard that they are hard to read (for some of us ocularly challenged gamers) . . but I like collecting digest sized game books, so I'll probably wait for one of the TLG sales events and buy them then.

The thing that put me off C&C was the obtuse Gaxian writing style therein...
But I did like the little white box set they put out before the Player's Guide saw light of day. That was excellent.

The writing style never bothered me. C&C has long been my go-to game for most of my campaigns. I really only run 3 D&D-type games any more: OD&D, C&C, and now DCC.
What I like about C&C is the AD&D-3E blend, which keeps some "modern" elements along with an old school feel.
I'm not a fan of the digest-sized books, however. I can't read them.

I have the white box set of C&C. I think it would have been more useful to me if it had included alignments and for that matter movement rates for the monsters. Other than that, I loved it...
