Where in the midwest would we gather?

Where in the midwest would we gather? Well, not surprisingly, I'd agitate for Minneapolis. This is, however, in part because I'd be happy to organize the event. Minneapolis is big enough to have a wide selection of possible sites and small enough for them not to be ridiculously expensive. Plus, it's, geographically speaking, just about dead center of the continent, in case any wish to travel from the Eastern or Western Marches. Well, okay, so it's maybe not the center of the U.S...

I'm in England. Specifically, Burnham, Buckinghamshire. That's in the Thames valley, not far from Windsor and Slough.

Minneapolis, dead center this one had me laughing! Plus I don't go anywhere near Minneapolis until May minimum! I know that Chicago has bad storms but Minnesota...yea not till there is a thaw!

I know that Chicago has bad storms but Minnesota...yea not till there is a thaw! That pretty much rules out the entire Midwest until May! Des Moines is just about as bad as Minneapolis right now (though we are a bit closer to the center of the US ;D). I'm actually heading up to Minneapolis tomorrow to meet my cousin for a weekend of AD&D 1st. It will be truly old school as he hasn't DM'd since the late '80s and he never went past 1st edition AD&D.

Ah! I've driven up to Lake Geneva for Gary Con and even though last year it snowed it wasn't that bad! Des Moines or Davenport wouldn't be that bad now that you mention it. Good luck with the gaming!
