The dedication page of Men & Magic lists (amongst others) "Tom Keogh (in memorium)". A little lower down "T. Keogh" is listed as one of the illustrators.
Does anyone know any information about Mr. Tom Keogh?

I believe he was one of Gary's fellow wargamers (and very probably a playtester of D&D).
I know that the magic item Keogtom's Ointment is named after him. (Keogh, Tom's)
But that's all I have.

My vague recollection is that he was a family friend of the Gygaxes or was a cousin (or distant cousin). I have an entry for him on my anagrams and homages page, but no details in the entry, alas....

Tom Keogh was a childhood (certainly teenage) friend of Gary's, and according to Tim Kask founded TSR with Gary.
