There are some good images in the pipeline already that some of our artists have submitted. That being said, I'd love it if one of our art aces felt like tackling a classic tableau with Harrek and Jar-Eel, or the Crimson Bat battling Hungry Jack, or hell, all four of them. Any takers, drop me a line....
Issue 10 may be out this weekend, and it is going to be another great one!

a classic tableau with Harrek and Jar-Eel, or the Crimson Bat battling Hungry Jack... I'm embarrassed to admit that I haven't heard of any of these guys. Who are they?

That was the Crimson Bat. Here is Harrek: and Jar-Eel: big heroes of the age.

Hungry Jack is essentially a gigantic Jack-o-Lantern, but he's cool.

I've had an idea. It's a bit different to the usual Fight On! cover, but it might work.

I believe you had asked me for this pic a few months ago. I too have never heard of the characters. What are they from?

They're Runequest -- or more accurately Glorantha -- characters.

Yeah, I've never heard of them, either.

Ah, ok - thanks. The illustration would be a better fit for someone who was more familiar with the subject matter (rather than myself).

Okay, that Crimson Bat tableau is about one of the coolest things I've EVER seen...

It is pretty cool.
Well, if people have other good cover ideas, Glorantha-wise or otherwise, I'm more than open to those too. And come to think of it I have a couple good ones in the pipe already. But we'd love to see more...

Now that some miniatures are visible, would a pop culture description work? Unless some key part is inimitable, how about: Draw the Kurgan in Frazetta Gladiator armor and Red Sonja in partial leather sword-fighting mooks while a 20 HD red Vampire Bat swoops in!Once done, you call it "Gloranthian Heroes" and let the writer fill in the facts

Just so, Lee. Although they'd be fighting each other. And Jar-Eel is a little more 'exotic' than Red, the way I see her.

Well, here's my attempt. The fonts (and their positions) are placeholders, but this is more or less what I had in mind:

Abstraction! Very good idea. (The changed logo, not that much)

Certainly stands out!
Dunno how 'Glorantha' it really is (I have very little experience with it), but it does indeed catch the eye.

I would say that anyone who knows Glorantha would know exactly what it is.
It'd also make an excellent Fight On! t-shirt design...

I would say that anyone who knows Glorantha would know exactly what it is. Yes, of this I am fairly sure. Whether the average old-schooler will have any idea, I don't know. I don't know if it even matters, if the image is striking enough, so that's why it's useful to have this kind of discussion. It'd also make an excellent Fight On! t-shirt design... Good idea!
