Indeed, he's a frightening figure, and no mistake!

Nice stuff. Although to me, the Dinosaur looks a bit too much like Barney...

Hello folks. I hope I'm not being too forward by posting my first attempt at submitting something. I picked something rather tame because my traditional art skills have atrophied over the years. There's so much awesome stuff being previewed here! tomb05_128

Thank you kelvingreen.
I cheated and built a reference model in 3D (and still managed to mess up the spacing on the sides and not figure it out until too late) then traced over the render in Photoshop. Then I went crazy with some brushes I made and then... I had second thoughts and obscured that mess with some half-tone lines. Or maybe I have that last part backwards.

Very nice work, nezach! They crazy part is, your piece could be mistaken at first glance for one of those public domain engravings from way back. Slick.

Thanks for the kind words folks! They crazy part is, your piece could be mistaken at first glance for one of those public domain engravings from way back. Slick. I was definitely influenced by Telecanter's recent blog posts of public domain art depicting tomb entrances. recedingrules.blogspot.com/search/label/ArtAnd don't you know there's no such thing as cheating in art?? Thank goodness for that. I would be wanted for ethics violations in at least 3 states otherwise

Here's my second contribution to this issue: A Dragonewt Walk of Evolution. For those who've not yet visited Glorantha, dragonewts are reborn into four distinct stages, from Scout to Noble. After the apotheosis of nobility, only one at a time is reborn as the Inhuman King, after which point they finally become a gigantic dragon and take off for dragonish regions...

That's not at all how I imagined it -- I was thinking of something much closer to the classic ape-to-man image -- but I think it's even better!

Here's one of two or three "hard-bitten warriors" my friend Lawrence is putting together: It's been awhile since he did by-hand illustration, but I think it's turning out pretty good!

To be submitted for a future issue, a K&K piece for SciFi (or gamma future) settings. The NPC space pirate's ship, weapons, and insect henchman will be included. Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Nice! I like the Insecoid (Varxnovid?) and its blaster and that half track mule. If it's got space mutants and gamma radiation I'm all for it on principle. 1 ed Gamma World was my first RPG experience. What did you do the illustration with?
Oh, and another quick question from the newb here, what's K&K? Did I just embarrass myself?
