There is also Labyrinth Lord.
And, of course, I'm sure that NONE OF THESE THINGS ARE AVAILABLE AS TORRENTS. Nope. Nosirreebob.

I'd rather buy a print or PDF copy than to get a pirated copy, but I'd rather have a pirated copy than no copy at all.
It's such a shame that companies such as WOTC are basically daring folks to trade illegal PDFs. If they had never been for sale they might have been somewhat rare, but having opened Pandora's Box and sold copies there are PDFs all over the place.

Absolutely, and they're basing their "crusade against piracy" argument on the fact that the eight people they caught were trading legal PDFs, which had the perps' names watermarked on the bottom of every page.
2 things to say about that:
1. Those idiots deserved to be caught and they deserve whatever comes at them, just for being stupid enough to illegally distribute something with their name quite literally all over it.
2. WotC is choosing to ignore the literally THOUSANDS of pdf copies of every single product they've ever released that are all over not only the P2P networks, but available for direct download in many places.* No, they're not out to stop piracy. They're just out to stop any and all support for old editions of their game. They want you to play 4th ed. Period, and it's that simple.
*I am neither claiming to have downloaded these, nor shared them, nor advocating support of the act. Just saying they're out there.

Those OD&D pdf's were floating around out there long before they were made available legally. The legal pdf's were actually derived from illegally downloaded versions and were "cleaned up" a bit for release. This is really too bad, but not surprising.

Actually I have seen torrent versions that are way nicer than the legal ones...
