This can also be used as a conversions for monsters in later d&d products, or even a primer on how to play 0d&d using only d6 dice.

for medium horse the conversion is 1:2 and for heavy horse the conversion is 1:3 (what it takes for an armored foe to kill them) 9HD red dragon defends and attacks as 3 heavy horse. Dragons range in size from 1-6 heavy horse (4-24 hits from light foot, or 3-16 hits from armored foot). Reds range from 3-4 heavy horse, or 9-12HD

The hero requires 14 points of simultaneous damage in a round to drive him off the board. The troll requires 21 cumulative hits. Creatures with multiple d6 damage may attack separate targets up to the number of dice that they have (a hero may kill up to 4 units of goblins per round). If you introduce cleric heroes, you may wish to convert heroes from simultaneous hits to cumulative.
