Hello, I'm new to this forum and new to OD&D, but a long time player of other versions of the game. I was wondering if someone has compiled the magic items, spells and monsters found in the LBBs, the supplements, Strategic Review, the early Dragon Magazines, or any others OD&D sources.
Since two out of three things I ask belong to this forum (monsters and treasure) belong to this part of this forum, I figured that this is the right place to post this subject.
Thanks in advance.

There's a compilation of the monsters in the Judges Guild Ready Ref Sheets, but it's in pretty small print (for my aging eyes anyway...).
I think the PDF is still available at RPGNow, and the real thing can often be found on ebay for about 5-10 bucks.
As far as the magic items and spells, well there you're on your own.
And welcome aboard!

Thanks for the info. The Judges Guild Ref Sheets are indeed what I was looking for. Too bad there isn't something similar for magic items and spells.

You can still buy hard copies of the Ready Ref Sheets, here, for $2.99 (mint!). It seems a common exercise for many OD&D players to create their own compilations. Whether or not such compilations end up being used, it seems a useful way to help yourself navigate the booklets/supplements! I myself got 75% of the way through creating an OD&D “monster manual”, but having done so, I prefer not to use it!

The only thing I've seen floating around on the net which comes close to that is the so called "grey book", but a) it lacks Dragon Magazine material and b) I'm not sure of its "validity" that the material found within is 100% OD&D, since some stuff have certainly leaked in from other editions, like the equipment list. I was looking for something more "legal", like a spreadsheet with the names of the items and where they can be found, and not a fully fledged monster manual or spell/magic item compendium. I could take it from there. But, may I ask, why don't you use the Monster Manual you created?

There’s something magical about actually opening up one of the old little brown booklets and reading it in its original context. It sparks my enthusiasm and creativity in some unexplainable way that some printout I made does not!

I could take it from there. Oh, I get it. What you want is the Dungeon Master's Index, by Dave Arneson. All the books and supplements, plus The Strategic Review, indexed in one book. Dave self published it, so I have no idea how many copies are out there. He signed mine, so I'm NEVER giving it up...

This seems to be quite handy. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to find it. Well, it seems I'll have to do all the work myself.
