On pp. 21-22 of The Dragon #9 (Sept. 1977) is an article by M. A. R. Barker entitled "Seal of the Imperium". In it he answers a dozen questions about EPT, and asks for more questions. He writes the following in the article's first column of print:
"Practice differs from group to group, of course, and my own feeling is that if I try to pin down all aspects of the game to hard and fast rules I may create more problems than I solve. In my own campaigns there are just two real gods: Common Sense and The Referee."
Awesome. ;D
