Did Sir Fang every build a castle of his own? Wouldn't that be a fun adventure location? Havard

Sir Fang is the player-character vampire, right? I don't think that much is ever mentioned in the FFC about him.
Yes, it would be an interesting location for an adventure. Kind of like Ravenloft years before there was a Ravenloft. :-)

He's actually fairly well detailed in the FFC Blackmoor Dungeons section and listed as being a wandering monster on level one in the Dungeon key. I take this to mean that the Blackmoor Dungeon was his home. But who knows...

I take this to mean that the Blackmoor Dungeon was his home. But who knows... I am fairly convinced that Sir Fang is David Fant's character after he became a Vampire. The fact that he was once the Baron of Blackmoor might be why he hangs out in the Dungeon. Also, apparently Fant's children were taken into the Blackmoor Dungeon and killed there. OTOH, assuming he is able to get around (Gaseous form and all), could he also have constructed a fortress elsewhere? Havard

Gaaaaah, as your DM, I can tell you you're asking the wrong questions! ;D But, yeah, you're right, as far as I read the different resources, Fant became Fang and now lives in BM dungeon. As per the ZGG d20 version of DoCBM, Fang inhabits levels 14 and 15, IIRC. His family's old stronghold should be located in the barony of the Lakes or around Vestfold.

Vestfold sounds more likely since I dont believe the Blackmoor group explored the lakes area untill after David Fant left? Greg can probably comment on this... Havard

Sorry, but I am no help here as I have never given the question any thought.
Dave Fant was the Baron of Blackmoor and based in Blackmoor castle when I started playing Blackmoor. I had assumed that his family was based out of the city of Blackmoor rather than somewhere else, so if his family's stronghold was not Blackmoor castle, I don't really know where it would have been.

There are mentions of Fant and Jenkins coming from fairly established (ie noble or aristocratic) families. The Weasel was ruler of Blackmoor before Fant came into power. I assume this is a reference in the FFC to early games with Dave Wesely. I guess there may have been other minor holdings around Blackmoor in those early days which may have been destroyed during some of the wars with the Egg. I suggested the Lakes might be out of the question since IIRC you mentioned that your group took over Gloomy after one of the Coot's invasions. I was guessing this happened after Fant had left the group? Havard
