I have a friend who might do a bit of cartography for inclusion with the article I'm submitting (which is running a bit late). In case he cannot, are there other people who do this? My own free drawing is poor at best.
Also, I don't know how art is included. I don't foresee the need for the topic, but what's the protocol anyways?
And dates? Maybe I missed it somewhere, but I really have no clue when this thing is due 'cept early January. Is there somewhere I can check on this?
Thanks in advance for any help.

January 9 is the open submissions deadline.
We do have a lot of artists and cartographers who graciously volunteer to help out with other people's articles. We try to solicit stuff when it seems appropriate, though we do also have a fondness for at least some scanned clumsily hand-drawn maps.
Thanks for your interest in the 'zine!

Nothing says love of the game like a hand-scrawled map, but I'd be willing to help you out if you need it!

I hate to say this, but I'm not going to get my article in on time. It's a horrible precedent to set, I understand. But the two are bleeding too much into each other and I want to get some more definitive demarcation between them. There are other excuses, but that's what is really bothering me.
Cheers to everyone else who made it and I hope it's a great issue.

Don't sweat it. That said, if you think you can get it done by next week, you should go ahead and send it a little late. Either way send it when it's ready!
