I've decided to reformat the Carcosa supplement into 3 little grey booklets for my group. The first booklet also also contains the Swords & Wizardry character generation rules. Here's a scan of the test printing: I may slightly change it for my final printing. Not sure about the little numbered triangle in the corner. I was going for the look of the early modules, or even the Basic/Expert rulebooks, but it might look sharper without it.

Looks fantastic littlewars, can't wait to see all three when you're done. Oh and welcome to the forum.

I really, really like what you have done with the cover. I think the red triangle is fine, but you might experiment with other font types for the number in it.

Here's a quick mock up of all three books. I changed the little blurb to read: "Supplement V ... For The Science Fantasy Role Playing Game" ;D Still not sure if the triangles work, I think I will try another font, thanks all for the feedback.

They look fantastic! If you are looking for an alternative to the triangles, circled numbers might look better.

Love 'em! Pure rock & roll.
I like the triangles.

Those are really sweet! I'm not sure about the triangles, but the Cthulhu-style graphics from the MM really set the tone! The color one is pretty slick, too, but it looks used already. I guess I'm going to have to try to do something like this myself.

You must be in the TRS Games demographic; it states "For ages 30 and up" ;D

Dame strait! This game is best played by people who grew up watching 80's cartoons.

Heh heh. I dig the "ages 30 and up", too. ;D
All of those are beautiful, little wars. Good job, indeed.

The only way this could be cooler is if you went the extra mile and spliced the appropriate rules from the 3lbbs right into your new grey booklets.

I'm just in the process of doing volume 1 that contains player info from Carcosa and includes Swords and Wizardry's character generation rules (sans magic-user, cleric, and races). For Monsters and Treasure I was planning to add an appendix of the D&D monsters Geoffrey suggested, like dinosaurs from Blackmoor, or the Swords and Wizardry equivalents. For Wilderness Adventures, it would contain the Carcosa sandbox, does it need anything from the original Wilderness Adventure? I don't see fighting men on Carcosa needing rules to construct keeps - they'd never make it that far. ;D

Well, if you are using S&W, then the bit about the brown books would not seem to apply.
What about the information from the Carcosan Grimoire?

I planned on splitting Carcosan Grimoire into two books: an addendum book, and a book of just the tables - just to push the Arduin aesthetic a little more. ;D
The reason I'm splitting all the books up is completely out of necessity. I own a wimpy, but well used, long arm stapler that can only make it's way through a dozen pages at a time.
