The FCC makes several references to this legendary location.
On page 15: "...the expedition to the home of Father Dragon that took out both the Sniders..."
p 88: "Approach to the city of Father Dragon, showing its size; the adventurers teleported themselves into the main throne room before the outside defending Balrogs could attack them, and were able to destroy the Evil Device (by dropping a rock on it) and freeing the Dragons from their deep and unnatural slumber."
p 88 also has an illustration of the scene described above.
In the D20 sourcebook, the deity known as Insellageth could be the same as Father Dragon. "All good dragons call him father.." (D20DAB p 159). Also, Insellageth is said not to have a planar home of his own but rather to dwell in the North. It is also speculated that Skelfer Ard was Insellageth in human guise. It would make sense since Insellageth is the patron of magic.
Is anything else known about this City or Father Dragon himself? Where could the City be located? the illustration on p 88 in the FCC makes it seem like it is located in a desolate place, perhaps outside the map?
Does anyone have any more insight?
BTW, I find it hillarious that they destroyed the Evil Device by dropping a rock on it ;D Sure beats walking all the way to Mordor!

I think I was there, but I don't remember any specifics. John or Richard Snider might be te best source of information on this.

Excellent Rafe! You will share some of your findings with us, wont you? I also tried to contact Richard Snider through the Wayfarer's Inn, but I don't know how well that works. As to location of the City, I guess the Dragon Hills might not be too unlikely. The overall plot seems to have been that an Evil Artifact, (I am envisioning an Orb, ala the Dragon Orbs in Dragonlance) was placed within the City of Father Dragon, making all the Good Dragons there fall into an unnatural slumber. The city was surrounded by Balrogs, which leads me to believe this to be a plot by the Egg og Coot (given my recent discoveries about the relations betwen the Egg and Balrogs). Freeing the Good dragons might change the Dragon Hills and Eastern Hak forever since they will now have good dragons as allies against the Evil Dragons who terrorize those lands... Havard

Dragon island would be my guess. It's listed in the Ffc.

Have a look at the upper RH of the map I uploaded in the "before Thonia" thread in at the Comeback Inn website. That's just a guess based on the notion that it ought to be not to far and not too close and somewhat northish of Blackmoor but not quite in the Arctic. Feel free to move it if you have a better idea.
