I'll have the art thread up and we'll be in full on layout.
But my computer crashed again! It's in the shop...hopefully we'll get it out soon.
I'm going to start keeping all the master files on-line so that when that computer goes on I can continue doing layout on this one or other ones in the meantime.
Anyway, slight delay, but this is going to be another great issue! I'm loving the submissions we've received.

Oh, man! What is it with you and computers?
Maybe they want you to play computer "rpgs", instead of the real thing!

That's bad computer karma - you should team up with john (coleston)... ;-)

Fight On! moves to the Cloud!
Seriously, though, Cal, get a donations button up on the website---I think there's plenty of us that'd like to help you cover some of your expenses...

Fight On! moves to the Cloud! That might not be a good idea based on some of this week's snafus! I hope things get up and running again soon. Myself and my pencil are at your disposal, as always.

Comp is fixed and will be ready for pickup tomorrow! Only out $150 this time. But anyway, the art thread should be coming up soon now. Keep posted!

$150!
You'd be better off buying a new machine every year or two and relying on the warranty. Seriously.

Sean---
Any ideas on when you'll be publishing the Lord of Eyes? I do still want to swap out some of the potions in one of the treasures, at some point.

Lord of Eyes is a go for this issue, Grodog - firm this time. So, make any edits you wish ASAP! Also, if you could send me a one page B&W version of the map, that would be cool - the blue old school style in the contest sub is cooler but I don't have the cover space this time out.
REALLY looking forward to it!

Great. I'll reprint the module for a re-read-through tonight, and will see what I can do about making the map B&W for you.

Hello All, This is my first post as I just joined the forums. I hope this is the proper place for this posting. I have all of the issues of Fight On! both in physical form and pdf and I'm looking forward to issue 7 as I am a long time Tekumel fan.
Here is my concern. I really feel the margins are too small for use with Perfect Binding as it is very hard to read the articles with cracking the spine. Also, it is very hard to copy any of the good articles and maps. Because of this I've bought the pdfs but that's like adding about 60 to 70% to the price of the issue. Please, please publish this issue and future on with a saddle stitch binding!
Regards, Kagesh

Hi Kagesh -
A few other people have voiced your concern re: issues 3 and 6 and it's been noted.
We try to keep the issues to 88 pages so we can do saddle stitch.
In the case of issue 4, where we knew it was going to be longer from the get-go, we had bigger margins. Hope that helped.
It's not feasible to reformat a whole issue if we think we can keep it under 88 and then find out we can't. But hopefully it won't happen again.
Sorry you had the reading troubles, but I'm glad you're enjoying the magazine! Again, we are aware of the issue and try to avoid it as best we can.

I'm glad to see that the margins and bindings are considered while issues are being prepared.

Thanks for the excitement! We are thick in layout now. Could be just a few days or still a couple weeks, depending on things like my daughter's cold and schoolwork. We're going as fast as we can!
