Depending on one's definition of "historic", I guess, but for fun anyhow. First Tsolyáni caught on camera; pic 13, left; Gertrude Carr, as Solyani Perfume-Seller Carrya at NorWesCon (1950 WorldCon in Portland, OR). Don't mind Venusian Yellowman hubby, Frank. - University of Iowa might just have some interesting Tekumel-related items under "fannish ephemera" per www.lib.uiowa.edu/spec-coll/msc/ToMsC900/MsC865/carrgertrude.html , given her position in their SF&F club.Anyone got a hook on this Admiral Tombo character, though? (a.k.a. Phillip Barker, winner of the costume competition at the con) (with Bea Mahaffey on cover and menacing Sun Priestess (mythos unknown), Virginia Cowling on #9, above).
