This is looking ahead from issue 7 to issue 8, but Jeff Rients will be conducting an interview with Erol Otus for issue 8. If you have questions you'd like to ask him, please send them to me or Jeff or post them here!

Who are some of your biggest influences as an artist?
What was your first-ever session of D&D like?

There are some uncredited Creature Features in early Dragon magazines, like that of the remorhaz, where the illustration is classic EO - did you create the monster as well?
Stories of games in which things from Necronomicon and Booty and the Beast were used in play?
The Haunted Chateau exhibit at the Indy MOCA was awesome - have there been other gallery showings of your work?

Do you still own the rights to your work? More importantly, is there any chance we'll see a book collecting your work that we can own and treasure, without it getting beaten up like our gaming books always do?

My question for Erol Otus would be,
"What happened to keep you from the (non-computer) gaming world for so long? Did something in the industry change, or was it simply a personal choice to pursue other interests or careers?"

My questions:
What's the story on the two Lord Weird Slough Feg album covers you did? Have you done other album covers?

Which artists, traditions and controlled substances provided the most inspiration for your art? Also, where do those colours come from?

"How did your own experiences in high school influence the work you did for the game Alma Mater?"

I'd like to know if he's tried any three-dimensional art. If he were a helmet crafter, I'd wear one!

My questions:
"Of your body of work, what are your favourite three pictures?"
"Who were your favourite TSR artists from the early era of the hobby?"
"Do you play any role-playing games now? If so, which ones?"
"Do you still play in a darts league?"

Some Qs from me:
- what's your favorite D&D image that you've created, and why? - what's your favorite D&D image that another D&D artist created, and why? - who are your favorite authors? - when did you first discover HPL's writings, and is HPL a large influence on your personal vision of D&D games as well as your D&D artwork? - what inspires you? - what was it like playing in Dave Hargrave's Arduin games? How did your early gaming experiences there differ from the kinds of games you played at TSR (if at all), when you went to work for them? - what's your favorite D&D monster, and why? - any chance that you'll consider reprinting Booty & the Beasts, Necromican, your geomorphs, and the magic items/treasure cards sometime? - are you planning to attend the North TX RPG Con next June? or GenCon? or DunDraCon, etc.? - do you paint (and perhaps sculpt?) miniatures? if so, can you share some samples of your work please? - who's your favorite adventure designer, and why?
Tha'ts all for now ;D

I want to know what Erol likes in current fantasy - any genre, RPG, computer games, novels, music, whatever.
