I am ready to get to work on issue 7 now. Let's get going! Looking forward to seeing what people send over the coming week. Artists, I'll be contacting you all soon as well. But - there are also open art submissions right now, if you just have some cool images you want to get in the issue. (I have to know the articles before I solicit illos, is why you haven't heard too much from me yet.) Anyway, happy to be a little more together now. Fight on!

A Knights & Knaves sub would be cool. Surely someone has some cool PCs/NPCs to share? Also, any interesting rules variants out there? Send 'em along...

Also, a one-page city or city article would be swell.
And, of course, if anyone has Tekumel-related stuff, this is the Barker dedication issue, so...

I'll be submitting an article on the Guild of Porters,
Those unappreciated guys that haul the heavy stuff around in dungeons and whom players like to stick in the front and back of the line ...

I understand tomorrow is the deadline for submissions. I'll make it! I'm polishing a modest submission of something that kind of straddles the lines between monster, artifact, and adventure location. It's (I hope!) creepy, and was not created with Carcosa in mind (though it would work there). It would also work on Tekumel.

I also vow to submit my revised "Randomness Makes You Say Yes" essay tonight or tomorrow. Is it a good idea to shoot for one page to make your layout job easier, and if so how many words is that?

Cal, I've started writing up a short article as requested. I'm sure it won't take up too much space. I'm just trying to come up with 20-30 concise little tricks. So far I have 8 to my liking (I'm not using all of them from the thread, as many of them would be useless to the average DM).
Any ideas for an article name?

I've just emailed my submission. Sometimes I spook myself. Why do I imagine things like that?

Mine is in as well, and like Geoffrey's, also on the ominous side. Interesting.

I just sent the final draft of "Witches on N'kai" unfortunately my scanner and laptop do not appear to be on speaking terms, so the one-page dungeon that goes with it ("The Lost Library of E'Begfy") and my attempt at a background for the piece were not included.

Hi Cal, I just sent you my submission for FO#7, a 'mini-setting' called the 'Duchy of Briz', along with a colour map of the duchy. Let me know if there are any problems with my submission. Good luck with FO#7!

I have no idea. We usually can hack things into shape. It almost never happens that the writer thinks it needs fewer words than the editor anyway, so just send the version you like and we'll go from there!

Any ideas for an article name? We'll figure something out. One idea would be to figure out a title for an ongoing tricks & traps feature - 'chutes & adders'? Hmmm....maybe to start a new thread on this.

Blueskreem -
When you get it figured out send that stuff along too. The issue won't be laid out in a day (or even a week) so there's a little time to find a working scanner. Thanks!
Also, thanks to everyone else who submitted! I'm off to check my email...

Hi Cal, I just sent you a revised version of my 'Duchy' article, as there were a few (very minor) omissions/mistakes in the version that I sent you on Sunday. No worries if you can't use the revised version. Thanks again for all your work on FO!
