I read that article earlier today; definitely one of the coolest things I've seen in a while! Reading stuff like that makes me insanely jealous. It's not fair that other people get to go on real wilderness adventures while I have to sit at home pretending! OTOH, I did get to "dungeon crawl" my way through Rome's catacombs back in March, so that's consolation I guess...

OTOH, I did get to "dungeon crawl" my way through Rome's catacombs back in March, so that's consolation I guess... Fun! That's more than I get to do. If I want to have any adventures around here they would have to be of the bar-room brawling/sneaking through the alleys variety. I should hit the gym.

Besides the giant rats, there were also FANGED FROGS! Don't forget the Orgre Faced Spider that holds a web net between it's legs to drop on unwary prey below. Just add 'Giant' in front of that name and you're good to go.

I watched that video of the fellow and his crew discovering that giant rat. At first I was excited, but the creature was disappointingly docile. I want a rat that size with the temperament of a rabid NYC sewer rat.
