I'm thinking about trying out making one for us. Can anyone make an appropriate jpeg out of the cover of issue 6? Or another cover if that one doesn't work for some reason?
Actually we should probably get marjasall's permission for this, but anyway I just was curious now whether anyone in the community might know how to do it.

Come on! There are about 90% computer nerds here - someone should be able to do it... ;-)

I guess I'm not entirely certain what a "banner ad" is -- do you mean those long, rectangular ads like appear near the top of these boards? If so, I woud think that it probably isn't that hard to do by taking the original image and grabbing a slice of it with the title or something.
I'm not quite sure of what you're looking for.

Right, like the ones that run on these rpg boards. Fin's got what I'm looking for, I just don't know much of anything about how to do that stuff.

Like this? Sorry for the quality, I had to use a different software since my Photoshop copy got fubar... This cover illustration has the wrong orientation for a horizontal banner. You have to define the dimensions in pixels and then pick a fitting art piece.

That looks perfect. Exactly how I'd do it.
And nope, I don't have a problem using it in a banner for FO!

A side-column ad space would show off the staircase action better IMO. Start with a targeted one-liner, follow the stirge fight to the bottom, hit the link to FO! Cropped elements from the EO winners would make a multitude of cool ads, given permission.
