It would be cool to publish these in the mag someday. Basically, tables that you roll on when you create a character that gives that character a special ability or shtick that's useful.
The standards here are the ones in the Arduin Grimoires and in Thieves' Guild VII (more comprehensive and balanced but less inspiring than the Arduin ones).
Anyway, if anyone has something like that or would like to write it up, we'd like to publish it.

Sounds interesting - I'll have a look at my Arduin stuff, then I'm going to work on something similar in German. If I like it there weill be an English translation that I'd be glad to send to you.

A while back, I threw together some rough notes for a table of henchman/hireling quirks and special abilities. I don't think I ever finished it, but I might try dusting it off.

There have already been some impressive entries on the subject - the races of Otherness/Tekumel series, and of course the dungeon motivations table from #5.

Your point about the Devil's in the Details articles is well taken, Melan.
Which gives me an idea - what about doing these for human cultures? Might be fun...
