not to post for DuBeers but here's the info: No sir. Roll up a character, post it in the characters thread. I'll be handing out swag during the first post so you don't need to worry about starting gold or equipment.

Thanks Abe Cross! Yes, you may roll up your characters at home and post the results, no need to use invisible castle or similar dice rolling services.
As the quote says, I will hand out equipment in the first post.
House rules? Nothing bizarre ... most of the ones I use are more clarifications. XP 100 per HD, that sort of thing.

Character name: Gozer Class: Secret (until it is definitively revealed) Colour: Jale Background: City Dweller Alignment: Secret (until it is definitively revealed) Brief description/background: The same cruel God who cursed Gozer with a puny and fragile body also blessed him with pouty, sensuous looks and an ability to land on his feet that has seen him escape from slavers and find friends and companions far from home, amongst Men of different races. Though he struggles even to heft a crossbow to eye level, he knows where best to aim the pointy things it shoots. A cosmopolitan upbringing has also gifted him with faculty in a number of different languages, and abundant people skills. Strength: 4 Intelligence: 16 Wisdom: 6 Dexterity: 13 Constitution:4 Charisma: 15 Hit Dice: 1+0 (low CON makes it a wash) Armour Class: 9 Bonuses: +1 missile fire, -1 hp per HD Please give me something shooty! Brief Background: The son of a tribal leader, E'ssej was alarmed to find out that he was to be sacrificed to the tribes god. Normally a great honor, E'ssej feared for his mortality, and fled. On the run from his disgraced tribe, he was captured by slavers who sold him to Donahg-Tu, "The Screaming Puissance". Serving The Screaming Puissance, E'ssej learned of sorcery and aspired to learn the arts. E'ssej would often steal a look at his master's notes and books while Donahg-Tu was dreaming the sleepless dream. Discovering that again he was to be used as a sacrifice, E'ssej fled. He has been living a free man's life ever since, still watchful for the moment when his masters catch up to him.

Gimyip is a Brown Man of 26 years, with a tall but wiry build. He is quick, strong, and known as a handy fletcher and archer. Some call mis-matched brown eyes the "blessing" of the Goddess, though they treat it more like a curse... but he ignores such rumour, and is better liked because of it.

All PCs are at 5th Level. Besides the adventurer's backpack, PCs also have the following equipment. You know how to operate any piece of equipment your character owns. If you have some piece of special equipment your PC carries, let me know.

Do the sorcerers in the group know any rituals? Every sorcerer knows 4 + 1d4 rituals. You may choose 2, and randomly determine the remainder by the following formula: Roll 1d6 1 = Banishing 2 = Invoking 3 = Conjuring 4 = Binding 5 = Imprisoning 6 = Tormenting Once the type of ritual is determined, use the dice to roll on the table for the ritual known. If you don't have the Carcosa supplement, let me know and I will assign you a list of known rituals. If you specific ideas about rituals known, that's probably okay, too.

Berist is a Green Man of 22 years, whose emerald-toned skin is stippled with ridges and whorls of keratin that are too evenly distributed to be anything but the result of deliberate scarification, although they are too random and artless to qualify as body decoration.
Berist looks and sounds mournful, and even when he's smiling he looks a bit sad. He subtly but constantly maintains his personal space, fading back as soon as anyone comes within sword-reach. His military background is evident in his fixed habits, which include maintaining his gear and weapons, constantly glancing around him for potential threats, and referring to others of unknown status as "sir".
