So those of you who have the issue and have had some time to read it, it would be great if you could promote it on your blogs, review it for websites, etc.! Thanks!

Thanks glgnfz! That's the kind of coverage that warms me heart.
Anyone up for a review?

I'm not sure how I feel about reviewing something that I contributed to? I did like the whole d**n mag, even TATSNBTA...

I'm not sure how I feel about reviewing something that I contributed to? I did like the whole d**n mag, even TATSNBTA... You know, I've been waffling back and forth on that question myself ever since issue... well, whatever issue came out when I started my blog. Well, ever since issue 1, I guess, since I first thought about reviewing it on the forum. Hmmm. ...and TATSNBTA is now a new deity in Otherness. A deity of what, I'm not sure, but a deity indeed...

Well, if you don't want to review it, an announcement of the issue and pimping your own article(s) on your blog are a time honored tradition. Nobody has to do this if they don't want to, I'm just hoping to generate more buzz for the issue based on the game stuff in it.

Cal, maybe when we get done with this hospital thing - to be honest, my heart's not so much into doing a lot of thinking or heavy lifting right now. Just want Ang to get better.

Of course. I send you an exalt for good wishes. Having just gotten my daughter out of the hospital, I have some recent experience....hope everything works out well and soon!

I just posted the first entry in an irregular series of posts I plan on calling "Why Fight On! is Awesome," which will not be "reviews" as such so much as reminders to people of the cool things to be found in FO! that you can't find anywhere else in the OSR.

They released her tonight. No real answers, just clues and paths to follow. We have a lot to do, and there are some serious issues that could be looming. This, right after Dad, is not going to be easy.

Funny how some of the online translators work. I followed the link and had the page translated - it said that my work was quite horny. LOL

I linked it on my facebook the night it was released. That's a great idea! I also posted about it, with lots and lots of links, on SANDBOX EMPIRE.

I've already mentioned it in my blog, but tonight I gave it a plug and a link on the front page of my site (which I recently redesigned). Actually, I could update that blurb for every issue, as they are released. www.marjasall.com

Hi, I am really enjoying your magazine and I am planning on using some of the articles in my upcoming OSRIC campaign. Here are my reviews so far Issue 1Issue 2Issue 3

Thanks for those reviews! Those are good, thoughtful, honest comments.
Every issue has good stuff in it but they are differently balanced. As much as I like issues 3 and 4, I agree with you that the campaign-specific focus in some of the articles can be a little much for those who aren't fans. On the other hand that's part of why issues 3 and 4 were oversized, so that there'd be something like a full issue of regular stuff in there too.
I also personally enjoy just making up what stuff in campaign-specific articles means for myself and ripping cool ideas and images out of them with little or no regard for what the creator might have been thinking. I understand that some people are more into fidelity though.
Issues 5 and 2 remain the model for what we're trying to do generally. Issue 7 is really cool - it's art- and adventure-heavy and has a fair amount of Tekumel stuff because it's the Barker dedication issue, but it should be a lot of fun. But in general when we start trying to put together an issue the 2/5 model is the target.
Anyway, keep letting us know about your reviews, and if you ever want to send some of your own stuff to the magazine, please do!

On the other hand your setting specific stuff may be a good thing, especially to people like me. I say this because when I placed my Issue 7 order I couldn't help but grab Rob Conley's Majestic Wilderlands. This was largely based on the fact that I really enjoy Rob's stuff, but Fight On!'s attention to the setting played a role in it too. I have to see what the excitement is about.
