About a year back now, I ran six sessions of Gangbusters! for my group, the wiki for the game is here: sites.google.com/site/gbcleveland/ - it contains notes on the characters, NPCs, plots, what happened each session and so on (our group finds these wikis really helpful). It was one of the more successful games I've run of late, and one the group is keen to return to. My houserules were minimal (they're on the wiki), the game was huge fun and in places the rules really helped get the desired feel. In particular, the tailored xp stuff, when Lila Malone, cub reporter ran past her friend Dwight Blake who was lying shot and bleeding in the street so she could phone in the story before the competition, I knew I had the feel I wanted. Generally, it was nice to have a game where nothing really beyond the core book was needed, all too rare these days. The only criticism I'd have, is the lack of advice on running games in which the PCs are not part of a party, it's quite demanding and actually very unusual, and the book doesn't seem to notice that getting rid of the concept of the party is kind of radical. Still, that aside, great game. One of my favourite play experiences of recent years and I hope more people give it a spin. And, for the curious, I didn't play it back in the day, this was my first time.

What a great wiki and the best chronicle of GB play I have seen. Looks like you have a great group of players and a creative Judge.
What do you think about the original character generation ?
A fun gaming experience is great whether played "back in the day" or yesterday. Looking forward to seeing more from you and your group. Thanks for sharing.
